About Vidya Ramamurthi
Vidya is a global design leader and brings with her 2 decades of product design, marketing, brand, and advertising experience across various industries. She joined Walmart in 2017 to lead the Walmart International eCommerce and omnichannel experience and was responsible for Design strategy and execution across the UK, Canada, Mexico markets. During her tenure, Walmart International grew its revenue from $3.2Bn to $7.5Bn due to customer experience initiatives such as Recipes & Meal Planning, Navigation redesign, Core site/mobile Redesigns, Digital Wallet, Auto re-order, Cart & checkout, and Mobile check-in. Recipes and site redesign won multiple industry awards under her leadership. She achieved these successes by building and leading a world-class UX team with designers, content strategists, researchers and design operations from 5 members to 90+ members globally.Prior to Walmart, Vidya served as Head of Design for HPE software. Key accomplishments included building a ground-up HPE software e-commerce platform with a new brand identity, community and marketplace experience that was mobile-first and developed with agile methodology. At HPE, her contributions won multiple industry design awards.Vidya also lead key initiatives in UX/UI design for StubHub (eBay Inc). Highlights included launching presence in UK, developing break-away apps (e.g, the SuperBowl StubHub app) and incorporating gamification strategies as part of long-term subscriber retention. Her design contributions span across a number of Bay Area companies including Shutterfly, PayPal, and Safeway. Her interests in branding and creative design stem from her Art Director experience at FCB Draft, where she lead advertising initiatives for multinational brands focused on fast-moving consumer goods.Vidya has a Master\'s in Fine Arts from Savannah College of Art and Design. She enjoys teaching and in the past has been design faculty for Design topics at the Art Institute of California. In her spare time, you might find her planning her next travel adventure.
