About Srirakshith Betageri
When I started college, I knew I wanted to be a good programmer. Problem was, I didn\'t know how to go about it. Naively, I Googled \"How to be a good programmer\". The first few articles that I read pointed me in the right direction and allowed me to lay a good and solid foundation of learning beyond the required curriculum. The Internet and its treasure trove of information was my prime source of knowledge of both arcane and simple concepts. It in fact was instrumental in me taking up the Android Developer Nanodegree from Udacity, albeit through a Google and Tata Trust Scholarship.Out of the 1.3 Billion Indians, an increasing amount of us are coming online. Many of us, for the first time. Our instrument of choice is a smartphone and apps rule the day. Being a programmer and student of AI, I am very interested in building for the Next Billion Users, not just in India, but for all the users who are just beginning to live a digital life. There is a saying \"What if the cure for cancer is trapped inside the mind of someone who can\'t afford an education?\". We can change that.
