Working on Enterprise Transaction Processing Systems (CICS)Currently working as a Professional Systems Engineer at Fiserv in the CICS domain, supporting and enhancing high-availability transaction processing systems used in large-scale banking and financial environments.My role involves working with IBM Mainframe technologies, focusing on CICS application environments, operational support, and system reliability.Key Responsibilities & Exposure:Working on IBM CICS Transaction Server environments supporting online banking and financial applicationsMonitoring and supporting CICS regions, transactions, and programs in production and non-production environmentsAssisting in incident analysis, problem determination, and resolution for CICS-related issuesWorking with JCL, COBOL, and VSAM for backend processing and data handlingSupporting DB2-integrated CICS applicationsPerforming region restarts, transaction monitoring, and log analysisCollaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure system availability and performanceFollowing ITIL processes, change management, and production support best practicesThis role is strengthening my understanding of high-volume transaction systems, system stability, and the critical role of CICS in enterprise banking platforms.Grateful to be part of Fiserv and excited to continue growing in the CICS and Mainframe systems domain.
