About Srinjay Jay Mukherjee

Born in Bombay, I’m an author, writer, and co-founder of The Social Canvas - a student-run magazine I helped launch in 2023 to spotlight unconventional, non-STEM perspectives that often go unheard. Beyond the page, I’m also an accomplished pianist, a passionate debater, and a jazz enthusiast at heart. My interest in global issues and community engagement has taken me from the shores of Qatar, where I volunteered with DEAP Qatar to help clear plastic debris, to researching global malnutrition during an internship with TribesforGood. That experience included co-writing an in-depth article and interviewing a senior executive at Action Against Hunger India. In 2023, I published my debut book, India’s Kaleidoscope: Looking Inward, Outward and Forward, which explores India’s evolving diplomatic identity alongside the domestic challenges it continues to face on its path to progress. I’m currently pursuing a degree in International Relations & Affairs at the University of Delaware. On campus, I serve as a Student Affairs Senator in the Student Government Association and contribute as a staff reporter to The Review, UD’s independent student newspaper.
