Project Description: The project involved automating the ingestion of files received through EFB or other sources, ensuring smooth data extraction, storage, and processing using GCS and BigQuery.• Rootmetrics: Automated the ingestion of files into GCS buckets, where stored procedures in Airflow DAGs would process the files and load them into designated end tables.• Umlaut: Ingested files from an external source, utilizing Airflow DAGs to load data into 10 different end tables.• QoS Report: This project focuses on transforming the existing manual processes involved in Quality of Service (QoS) reporting into a streamlined, automated solution within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The goal is to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness for BT by leveraging GCP’s advanced cloud-based technologies.Roles and Responsibilities:• Created DDLs for BigQuery to define table structures.• Developed scripts for automating file ingestion into tables.• Designed and implemented Dataflow jobs in Python to load and process data efficiently.• Wrote advanced BigQuery queries for business-specific data analysis.• Built, scheduled, and monitored Airflow DAGs to orchestrate ETL workflows.• Managed file storage in GCS, ensuring data availability and integrity.• Rationalize and modernize the QoS Reporting System to optimize workflow.• Migrate manual processes to an automated framework in GCP.• Improve operational efficiency and reduce costs through automation.
