The Bioengineering Mentorship Program (BMP) is a department-wide program that aims to cultivate academic, social, and professional networks for the bioengineering undergraduate community at UC Berkeley. The program features cohort-wide professional development events as well as group-specific meetings among mentors and mentees.Through the BMP, I support current undergraduate Bioengineering underclassmen with navigating campus resources, choosing coursework, pursuing extracurricular opportunities, and more. Additionally, mentors participate in cohort-wide professional, academic, and social events to establish a sense of community among bioengineering undergraduates. As a mentor, I share my own experience as an undergraduate bioengineering major at Cal with my mentees to guide them through their journeys as bioengineering majors.
