About Srinidhi Deekshith Gowda

I am Srinidhi B.M, a Medical and Psychiatric Social Worker, Researcher, and Mental Health Professional, dedicated to strengthening mental health care through compassionate practice, evidence-based interventions, and community engagement. I believe that mental health is a fundamental human right, and this principle guides my professional journey.I currently work as a Heart and Lung Transplant Coordinator at KIMS Hospitals, Electronic City and Mahadevapura, Bengaluru, where I support patients and families through complex transplant processes. My role involves psychosocial assessments, pre- and post-transplant counseling, donor recipient coordination, multidisciplinary collaboration, ethical documentation, and continuous emotional support in high-pressure clinical settings.Alongside this, I serve as an Attending Social Worker at Sattva Deaddiction and Rehabilitation Centers, Chintamani, providing casework, individual and family counseling, relapse-prevention planning, psychoeducation, group interventions, and community reintegration support for individuals with substance use disorders.I hold a Master of Social Work (Medical and Psychiatric) from Bengaluru City University and a Bachelor of Science in CBMi from Government Science College, Bengaluru. My postgraduate dissertation, “Psychological Effect of Digital Usage on Mental Health among Adolescents,” explored the impact of digital technology on adolescent well-being. I have also presented research on rural rehabilitation centers at the National Association for Professional Social Workers India(NAPSWI) Annual Conference, Odisha (2025).My work has been recognized through the Best Poster Award at the ISPSW Conference, a poster on Youth Addiction, participation in international symposiums with Wolverhampton University and Birmingham University (UK), and a presentation at Collabre’25 National Conference, St. Joseph College, Kerala.I have received professional training at NIMHANS, Spandana Health Care, Institute of Nephro-Urology, Nirashrithara Parihar Kendra, and Sparsha Trust. As an NSS volunteer (2019–2022), I actively engaged in mental health awareness, rural development, cancer education, and drug abuse prevention initiatives.My long-term vision is to bridge gaps in mental health services for marginalized communities by integrating clinical practice, research, and social advocacy. I see social work not merely as a profession, but as a lifelong commitment to healing, educating, and empowering individuals and communities.
