About Srikar Kolla
Every problem I’ve cared about has started the same way: something small that didn’t work, and everyone just accepted it. I don’t. I like taking those broken systems apart and rebuilding them until they make sense.That mindset drives everything I do, from my internships to the ventures I build to the people I help. I’m an Integrated Business and Engineering (IBE) student at Purdue University’s Daniels School of Business, pursuing minors in Design & Innovation and Biotechnology, along with a Certificate in Entrepreneurship. My focus sits at the intersection of business strategy, systems design, and innovation, figuring out how to make complex things simpler and more efficient.What I’m building and contributing to:• Founder of MEDWEB, a healthcare venture developing biometric technology to enable instant access to critical medical data, helping emergency response teams and hospitals reduce response times.• Incoming Return Intern at Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance (IFBI) with the Life & Annuity Business Division, following a previous summer as a Business Operations Intern. My work focuses on process optimization, digital transformation, and data-driven decision-making within traditional business frameworks.• Peer Consultant at Purdue’s Center for Career Opportunities (CCO), supporting student professional development through resume and cover letter reviews, LinkedIn profile refinement, and mock interviews. I enjoy helping others tell their story clearly and confidently.• Teaching Assistant for MGMT 305 (Business Statistics) in the Quantitative Business Methods Department, where I assist with detailed homework evaluations, exam invigilation, and analytical grading support for large cohorts.Where my interests meet:Business strategy, operations and systems improvement, product development, quantitative analysis, and innovation management.Outside of work, I currently compete as a varsity table tennis athlete at Purdue and spend my downtime playing acoustic guitar and listening to Bollywood music.I don’t want to chase titles or buzzwords. I want to chase clarity and I believe the best kind of business is the kind that quietly solves problems no one else has figured out yet.

I’ll be joining the Life & Annuity team at Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance as part of a major company-wide Life Modernization Project, focusing on improving operational efficiency and enhancing the customer and agent experience. This role will give me the opportunity to collaborate with IFBI leaders and cross-functional teams, gain hands-on experience in data analysis, business process optimization, and systems transformation, and contribute to the modernization of IFBI’s Life business line.
