I work as a Cloud Data Engineer, building data pipelines on AWS for one of Canada’s major banks. It’s solid work, and I’ve learned a lot, but I’ve realized I want more than just moving data from point A to point B. What drives me is doing work that actually matters to people; whether that’s helping someone learn, solving a problem that makes their day easier, or contributing to something bigger than profit. I’d love to put my skills toward work that has a real impact, especially in areas like education, community support, or animal welfare. I’m still figuring out what that path looks like, but I know I want my life to feel meaningful, humane, and connected.
