About Srijan Shashwat

Hey, I studied Computer Science and Economics at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani - Pilani Campus. After joining the Computer Science branch at BITS Pilani in 2020, I took a \'reverse-dual\' into MSc Economics and B.E. Computer Science (basically just added a degree because Economics is my first love). I am an NTSE Scholar and was the State Topper in AISSCE (Science)- 2020, in Jharkhand State. In 2024, I got Rank 1 in India in the GATE Examination (in Economics), conducted by the IITs and IISc. I held two Positions of Responsibilities in my junior year, the Head of Human Resources at Nirmaan Organization Pilani chapter, and the Guest lectures Coordinator for APOGEE 2023, where I was responsible for conducting the Think Again Conclave, the marquee event for APOGEE, and also the Papyrus Trails (the literature subfest within APOGEE, BITS Pilani\'s technical festival). I completed a Data Science Summer Internship at Atlassian in the Commerce Analytics team in Summer 2024, working on a project analysing refunds. I then worked on my Masters\' thesis in the domain of international capital flows and fragility under Dr. Ila Patnaik, thanks to the Corporate Thesis arrangement at BITS Pilani. Following this, I most recently worked at JPMorganChase in the Office of the CFO as a Data Science intern, building AI/Automation solutions in the Firmwide Planning and Analysis unit. I currently work in the Service Collection Product Data Science team at Atlassian, focusing on Growth and Monetization. I support Product, Engineering, Design and Strategy & Business Ops teams with insights and data support, with SQL and Python being my bread and butter.I\'ve given a lot of examinations in the past, but the ones I like highlighting at GATE (All India Rank 1), CAT (99.95 percentile) and GMAT Focus Edition (735, which translates to 100th percentile).
