I write software that runs in cars. For the last 7 years, I\'ve been deep in automotive embedded systems.Started out working on Powertrain, spent the last 2.5 years on Electronic Stability Control.Here\'s what my day actually looks like:I work with Infineon microcontrollers, writing C code for Application Software Development. I like knowing exactly what my code is doing without layers of abstraction hiding problems.The work I\'m most proud of?Catching a state machine bug in ESC where the system showed \"active\" but was actually off. Found it during functional testing. If that had shipped, it would\'ve been bad.Really bad. There was also this time I spent 1.5 months testing a feature I\'d never seen before.Built test cases from scratch, found gaps in the requirements, and presented my findings to senior folks. They took it to the customer for requirement changes. Outside work, I build things to learn. Recently debugged a HardFault exception on an STM32 project because my JSON parser was blowing the stack. What I bring to a team:I don\'t give up when things get hard. I\'ve mentored a few engineers on code reviews and design practices. My colleagues come to me when they need help understanding features I own or implementing something tricky.What I\'m aspiring for:A Senior or Lead role where the technical problems are hard enough to keep me thinking. Firmware, device drivers, bootloaders, real-time systems, anything where the code is close to the hardware and mistakes have consequences.
