About Sridhar Sivaraman

Most people see a War Room and see a crisis. I see a puzzle.There\'s something that happens in the first 60 seconds of a P0 incident — a kind of controlled chaos where everyone is looking for someone to follow. I\'ve spent 20 years being that person. Not because I\'m the loudest in the room, but because I\'ve learned that clarity is the most powerful thing you can offer when everything is on fire. What drives me isn\'t the adrenaline of the incident. It\'s the quiet work that happens after — the uncomfortable question of why it happened, the structured thinking that ensures it never happens again. I\'m obsessive about prevention. I\'ve built postmortem cultures, knowledge systems, and governance frameworks not because someone asked me to, but because leaving a problem half-solved has never sat right with me.I think in systems. Whether it\'s a cascading payment failure at 2am or a team that\'s burning out from alert fatigue, I\'m always looking for the root cause — not the symptom. That instinct has followed me from QA to Problem Management to Incident Command to leading operations across APAC at PayPal.I also believe that great operations leadership is fundamentally a people problem. Teams that trust each other recover faster. Leaders who communicate clearly during chaos earn credibility that outlasts any incident. I\'ve built teams across time zones and I care deeply about the humans running the systems, not just the systems themselves.Right now, I\'m most energized by what AI can do for operations — not to replace human judgment, but to give it better information, faster. The shift from reactive to predictive is the most exciting problem in my field, and I want to be at the center of it. If you believe reliability is a culture and not a checklist, we\'re probably thinking alike.Areas of Expertise: Incident & Crisis Management | Problem & Change Governance | ITIL | RCA & Postmortems | Site Reliability Engineering | Global Operations Leadership | AIOps & Automation | Conversational AI
