Sridhar has over 30 years post qualification experience. Over the years he has dealt with complex regulatory and tax issues surrounding doing business in India, M&A, Indian Exchange Control Law, taxation and structuring. He has worked in the Delhi and Chennai offices of one of the largest professional services firms. He has gained significant experience in working with diverse people across India as well as many parts of the world while providing tax and regulatory advice. He is currently a Senior Advisor in Grant Thornton Bharat LLP and was a Tax and Deals Partner in Chennai till April 2026. As a Partner and advisor, Sridhar has worked on varied and complex assignments in his career span. This includes : a. Advising foreign and Indian clients in structuring, acquisitions and setting up presence in India / abroad; b. End to end assistance on mergers, demergers including drafting/ vetting schemes and implementation; c. Local and cross border ESOP/ MSOP\'s; d. Negotiation support, drafting and reviewing of documentation from the point of view of Corporate Law, Exchange Control and tax (both direct and indirect) various agreements including Joint Venture Agreements, Share Purchase Agreements, Royalty/ FTS / license agreements, Loan Agreements etc. e. Advice and assistance on Government Policy on Foreign Direct Investment, Overseas Direct Investment and Sectoral Policy and Laws of the Central and State GovernmentsSridhar has worked across varied sectors in his career span covering inter-alia Technology, SaaS, Manufacturing, Special Economic Zones, Industrial Parks, Trading, and Education.
