About Sreeraj V R
I\'m a robotics engineer building autonomous systems from the ground up.Currently at BEML Ltd\'s R&D Engine Division (Ministry of Defence), working on electronic and electrical systems for high-power defence, mining, and construction equipment engines — ECU integration, communication protocols, and sensor systems.Outside work, I\'m building DiffBot — a full-stack autonomous differential drive robot. MK1 is running closed-loop velocity control with a custom ros2_control hardware interface in C++, an ESP32 firmware layer handling encoder-based PID, and odometry visualised in RViz2. SLAM and Nav2 autonomous navigation are in progress. MK2 is in hardware design and MK3 will add a Jetson Orin Nano Super with an agentic AI stack.Previously Lead Engineer for Team EGO at SAE India aBAJA 2024 — built the complete autonomous drive-by-wire system from scratch. AIR 4 Overall, AIR 1 Virtual Dynamic Event.B.Tech ECE, GEC Thrissur.
