About Sreekanth Iyer
Ever since I sat next to my dad as an 8-year-old repairing a broken radio and grinder, I have always been inclined towards fixing things and resolving problems. I lead 30+ teams of 250+ “thinking on the feet” application production support warriors and work with them to keep the 200+ global markets application ecosystem up and running 24/7.In my capacity, I manage projects like vendor application on-boarding and migration, infrastructure (OS, Database, middleware) upgrade, application performance and architecture review, cloud migration, automation to drive operational efficiency.On a day to day basis when working with booking, reconciliations, forex trading, settlement, regulatory, financing, and back-office systems, my team of agile support personnel ensure tactile response and recovery when managing incidents.In my 15 years of experience, I have learned that application performance must be scalable to changing and volatile nature of global markets. The support system requires adaptable monitoring solutions which can proactively detect issues early. As a team, one of our top priorities is to constantly review and enhance our monitoring.If there is one quality that I would like to be known for it is my willingness and zeal to help others, whether it is by mentoring my colleagues and team members or by volunteering and offering my services to the Bhajan Samaj social service organization of work, music has been a driving force in keeping me invigorated ever since I was introduced to it by my parents at age 6. I play classical percussion instruments like Mridangam, Kanjira, Ghatam as well as morsing (jaw harp) and Cajun (hand drums). Performing at concerts with my troupe has taken me all over the country and has helped me bond with others having similar interests.
