About Sreejit Roy

A professional career of 25 years spanning Manufacturing, Business Consulting & IT Outsourcing Services, Sreejit brings with him significant experience in managing business requirements of top tier global clients & supporting them in their transformation initiatives. He is currently Global Application Build & Modernization leader for Hybrid Cloud Transformation (GBS). In this role, he is responsible for building the book of business for application development & application modernization, for both cloud & non-cloud. This comprises defining the strategy, building the offerings, methods, tools, capability, be the IBM representative for analyst relations and managing the financials (signing, revenue, profit). He took up this role in July 2019 after a successful stint of 5 years as “VP : Sectors, IBM Client Innovation Centre, India”, where he was responsible for delivery across all industry verticals & technology landscape for a team of approx. 40K+(Global Delivery Center-India, Global Business Services). During this tenure, he had the opportunity to interact with multitude global CxOs, understand their busines needs & support them in their transformation. During his tenure, emerging practices of Cloud, AI/Cognitive, Digital/IX, IOT, Design thinking, Automation were set up in the India center along with state-of-art garages & a digitally enabled client briefing centre, catering to IBM’s global clientele.Prior to this role, he was Country Manager for GBS Indonesia and Global Account Partner for a C&P Major. He has also served as ASEAN C&P leader. Before moving to Malaysia, he was the Director: Industrial Sector (GBS GD India), and managed a portfolio comprising 5 industries, Aero & Defense, Chemicals & Petroleum, Automotive, Electronics & Industrial Products.He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jodhpur Rajasthan & a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) from IIM Kolkata,
