I started on a help desk in New Jersey in 1995. I\'m originally from Cali, Colombia, and the only thing I knew for sure was that I wanted to build things with technology.Thirty years later, I\'m still building. I\'ve been a server admin, SQL developer, BI analyst, project manager, cybersecurity lead, vendor negotiator, and ERP specialist. If it plugged in, I\'ve probably fixed it, replaced it, or argued with a vendor about it. Every one of those roles taught me something the next one needed.That path taught me something I didn\'t fully understand until recently. The most valuable thing I bring to AI isn\'t my technical background. It\'s knowing how loads get planned, how drivers get dispatched, how freight moves, and where the process breaks. AI is powerful. But it doesn\'t know your business. You do.The tool supplies the intelligence. You supply the knowledge.That\'s the idea I keep coming back to. Every technology wave I\'ve worked through, from business intelligence to blockchain to AI agents, the pattern is the same: the people closest to the work get the most out of the tools. Not the specialists. Not the consultants. The people who\'ve been doing the job.I write and speak about AI, leadership, and technology in trucking. If you\'re a working manager, a dispatcher, a load planner, or an ops leader who\'s been doing this for years, AI was built for you.
