Don\'t be giving those Developers sysadmin on the production servers! MONITORING - Someone is running a quarterly report on prod server? Need to keep an eye on this. The AG has failed over to secondary? I can help. Azure SQL Database - Use it, don\'t use it, turn it off; saves you lots of money! SQL Replication - Oh the pain! Tip: It\'ll be someone editing the subscriber server on a replicated article. I can show you a better way with Availability Groups and readable replicas. Legacy Solutions - Come now, it\'s time to get off SQL 2005/08 and yes even 2012! It\'s 2022 we do clever things now. SQL 2012 END OF SUPPORT was back in July! Get off this before you get hacked. SQL Server on VMWare/Hyper V/Azure IaaS - It\'s a computer *inside* a computer? Oh my goodness. I do all of the above and more but even if you just want to chat so I can make you more paranoid about your data so you go and buy some more memory sticks then that\'s a great start. Ask yourself this: If you lost your data what would happen? If someone stole your data what would happen? See paranoia is the way forward!
