ABOUT SEAN PATRICK
For more than 25 years, I’ve enjoyed a rewarding career that pretty much began three days after graduating from design school. I’ve worked with top North American brands like Nike, Labatt, WellsFargo, and Loblaws, across a broad spectrum of categories including beauty, CPG, banking and retail. A born storyteller, I love to ask, listen, analyse, identify, question, formulate, conceive, test, and repeat. Doing all of the above for my clients, until the brand is ready to serve its purpose, is what I LOVE most about my work. I’ve had the great fortune to explore a multitude of storytelling disciplines throughout my career that include UX, marketing, content, strategy, teaching, and of course – my greatest passion – branding. Every brand tells a story. Big or small. Personal or professional. Deliberately or unintentionally. Like it or not, you have a brand. And it conveys something about who you are, what you do, and most important, the value that you, as an individual or a business, offer to those you hope to reach.BRANDING IS FOR EVERYONEIn today’s digital environment, and more than ever before, we put ourselves out there in hopes of getting attention and connecting with others in countless ways. Ways that make us accessible, vulnerable, and accountable for what, how and why we communicate. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? My belief is it’s not about the good or the bad, but whether we’re willing and ready to challenge ourselves to ask it again and again.Welcome to Branding in the 21st century. A time where we have the opportunity to define our identity, control our message, and influence those we believe benefit most from what we have to offer. For decades, branding has been something accessible only to large organizations with big budgets, and many will tell you this is still the case. I will tell you otherwise. The discipline of brand marketing IS for everyone, and it doesn’t have to be complicated. I promise. No two brands are the same, and that’s why every brand’s story is so important. My mission is simple: To make decades of big-agency intelligence accessible and applicable to small business, by teaching, guiding, and inspiring better marketing.Marketing doesn’t have to be complicated. If it is, you could probably use some help.
