I’m a seasoned researcher, innovator, engineer and entrepreneur that thrives on solving difficult challenges and building amazing things. I own a state of the art shop for building soft bionic technology and have a diverse set of skills that spans nearly the entire development cycle, including materials, manufacturing, testing, prototyping, design and software. My past projects have included smart watch bands, VR gloves, instrumented knee braces and insoles, electroactive elastomer sensors, implantable medical devices and engineered biomimetic collagen scaffolds.

I founded Practical Bionics in 2023 to tap into the unrealized potential of soft bionics for shaping the future of wearable electronics, medicine and robotics. In addition to building out a state of the art shop complete with 5-axis machining, laser processing and material compounding, I also developed a novel robotic additive manufacturing platform from the ground up to enable monolithic fabrication of devices that would have previously been difficult to fabricate.
