About Suhani Joshi
Growing up in Birmingham, AL, I saw firsthand how civil rights advocacy transformed communities and created pathways for working families to access justice. That legacy inspired me to pursue public interest law. As a sophomore at Vanderbilt University, I\'m double majoring in Law, History, & Society and Political Science on the Pre-Law Track. My research focuses on immigration law, specifically how expanding statutory right-to-counsel protections could address fairness gaps in removal proceedings. Long-term, I\'m interested in immigration advocacy and civil rights litigation that centers the needs of underrepresented communities. I\'m looking to connect with attorneys, advocates, and organizations working at the intersection of immigration policy and access to justice.
