Being part of the executive team, leading global teams, and responsible for Cloud Volumes Service (CVS) from signal to live. CVS is a first-party service on Azure, GCP, and AWS, serving enterprise customers across verticals, including SaaS applications, HPC, and scientific computing customers. We are experts in handling petabytes of data and billions of operations per day across the globe.The service includes features such as zone redundancy, cross-region replication, snapshots, backups, mirroring, cloning, auto-tiering, and multi-protocol support (NFS, SMB, iSCSI) for diverse use cases across more than 40 regions.My team is responsible for platform, infrastructure and reliability engineering activities.We are modernizing our CI/CD infrastructure with the help of Agentic AI. This involves a group of AI agents that execute test cases, log bugs, triage issues, fix bugs using an AI-powered integrated development environment (IDE), and collaborate effectively with all developers. Our initiatives are driven by OpenAI and Gemini language models.We have introduced the Product Quality Index (PQI) for NetApp\'s Cloud Storage services, which includes four components with varying weightings: Control Plane Service Level Objectives (SLOs) & Data Plane Service Level Agreements (SLAs), release frequency & reliability (considering rollbacks and hotfixes), release value, and customer effort score. My approach to observability is distinct. I have developed over 100 use cases that encompass customers, systems, platforms, infrastructure components, load balancing, and storage. For each use case, verified the availability of metrics, logs, events, and traces, and created corresponding action items. We consistently achieve a Time to Detect of less than 5 minutes and a Time to Mitigate of less than 30 minutes. Our team is empowered with modern technological tools and frameworks, including RAG, MCP, N8N, and vector databases.
