ABOUT SPIKE KENNY
After 23 years of coaching Age Grade Rugby in the community club and school environments. I’m now an England Rugby, School Rugby Manager, with a brief to promote rugby in state primary and secondary schools in South East London. My objectives are: to grow the game in the state school sector in Lambeth, Southwark & Lewisham, promote the new entry level version of the game in schools - T1 Rugby, up-skill teacher to support them to deliver the game confidently and safely, to develop young people as Young Rugby Leaders and to connect schools with local rugby clubs and support transition from school to club. I’m also the Director of Age Grade Rugby at Old Alleynians, which is a volunteer role, so I’m truly embedded in the game. A game I played for 40 years and has given me great friends, great experiences and great memories. I’m committed to promoting the game and all I need are more hours in the day and more days in the week!
