Kamloops-based tourism professional managing destination development initiatives for Destination British Columbia. Destination BC is a Provincially funded, industry-led Crown corporation that supports a strong and competitive future for BC’s tourism industry through a combination of destination development, global marketing, industry learning, cooperative community-based programs, and visitor servicing. I am a dedicated, personable and results-oriented individual with a passion for destination development, program management, community engagement, economic development, and more. I have worked in a variety of roles in the tourism, professional services, not-for-profit and entertainment fields, primarily focused on destination development, program management, equity, diversity & inclusion, management consulting, research, business development, marketing and more. In terms of education, I have a BBA Honours from Simon Fraser University and a joint MSc in Tourism Management from the University of Southern Denmark, University of Ljubljana, and University of Girona. I have a deep interest in destination development & marketing, queer inclusion, rural development, 2SLGBTQI+ travel, sustainability, and government policy. I have a very international perspective, having lived in five countries (Canada, Austria, Denmark, Slovenia & Spain) and visited an additional 33 countries.
