About Spencer Maughan
I am passionate about scaling technologies for impact and enabling entrepreneurs. Much of my academic career was within the Institute of Biotechnology at Cambridge University where I worked on genetics. I moved to California following my passion for start-ups and entrepreneurship. Upon completing my MBA at the Stanford GSB I joined Venrock, a VC firm in Silicon Valley, and later moved as an EIR to Kleiner Perkins. At KP I co-founded a computational plant breeding and analytics company while starting a VC fund to scale technology in industrial sectors. Most of the time I\'m talking to company builders and thinking about how we can make change for good.
