ABOUT SPENCER JAEGER

I’m a technical planning professional with experience supporting complex, high-profile transportation projects through all phases of planning and design. My work spans the development of environmental documentation (NEPA/CEQA), conceptual engineering, technical grant writing, and coordination with multidisciplinary design teams generally within the context of rail, bus, and civil infrastructure projects.I’ve contributed to major transit initiatives by leading or supporting key tasks such as authoring and reviewing NEPA- and CEQA-compliant documents, preparing funding applications for federal and state grant programs (New Starts, Small Starts, MPDG, ATP, TIRCP), conducting GIS-based planning analysis, and developing cost estimates, right-of-way plans, and implementation strategies. I also bring experience in financial management, subcontractor oversight, and producing clear, data-driven materials for executive-level stakeholders and the public.My strength lies in bridging planning and engineering, ensuring that technical inputs are integrated effectively to support decision-making, project approvals, and funding success. I thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments where big-picture thinking and technical detail go hand in hand.
