In charge of an internationally based Team of chemical regulatory experts providing the Kingfisher business teams with accurate insights into competitive & proficient fulfilment of chemical regulatory obligations, horizon vigilance and implementation & training support for product Teams and suppliers.(EU, UK and EU Member State chemical compliance); managing lobbying and consultation back to law makers regarding proposed regulations and in mitigating divergence risks. Devising simple compliance processes and an convergent interoperable chemical sustainability policy (inc. RSLs & chemical policies). Responsible for inputs into corporate end of year external reporting(Operational expertise in a range of regulations (UK & EU) REACH inc. annex 17, SCIP, BPR, CLP, Detergents, POP, RoHS, and chemical advocacy e.g. working in coalition with trade associations for sensible outcomes for TiO2 + building our corp. chemicals strategy for the EU Green Deal•Applying both scientific method, chemical regulatory science and commercial product delivery expertise to routinely solving chemical performance, sustainability, safety, compliance and cost challenges (across EU states and GB)- inc. BREXIT divergence. •Innovating new processes to support routine regulatory EU and national chemical compliances inc. UK, France, Iberia, Romania, Poland, Russia, Türkiye, Rep. of Ireland, BREXIT UK and Northern Ireland. •Regulatory Horizon management – including consultation and BREXIT compliance planning & delivery•Implementing Supply Chain chemical risk management strategies for chemical and solid object productsDelivering effective processes to support routine multi-national chemical compliance. Worked with BLC to devise and implement a bespoke leather supply chain compliance process to effectively & consistently mitigate Cr(VI) non-compliance. Worked to develop a unique working relationship with UK Government on matters related to public safety and sale of Chemical Products.
