I leverage my electrical engineering degree and experience working on patents involving machine learning, Fintech, wired and wireless communication, software, consumer electronics, semiconductors, and medical devices to the benefit of my clients.I have extensive experience handling a variety of IP disputes and matters, including patent preparation and prosecution involving sophisticated technologies for several Fortune 500 companies. I have also been involved with litigation involving copyright, trademark, patent, and trade secret disputes. Prior to joining Shumaker, I also worked in high-stakes personal injury litigation involving products liability and vehicular collisions that resulted in catastrophic injuries or death.I received both my J.D. and a Certificate in Intellectual Property from the University of Richmond School of Law, where I served as the Managing Editor for the Journal of Law and Technology and was a member of the Moot Court Board and Student Intellectual Property Law Association.Outside of work, I enjoy playing golf, fishing, and spending time with my and three dogs. I am an avid Clemson Tigers fan.
