ABOUT SPENCER GARDEEN
As a scientist, I apply my expertise in biochemistry and synthetic chemistry to design, synthesize, and test small molecule drug conjugates for the treatment of cancer, autoimmune diseases, and central nervous system trauma. With over six years of research experience in biophysical, organic, and chemical biology, I have a strong desire to create medicines that can rapidly improve patients\' lives.I have contributed to the discovery and development of multiple targeted conjugates that selectively target drugs to cell surface enzymes, which are overexpressed in the diseased tissue of interest. I have also co-invented two patents related to these conjugates, and published several peer-reviewed papers in prestigious journals. In addition, I have collaborated with cross-functional teams of scientists to optimize the synthesis, purification, characterization, and delivery of these novel therapeutics. I am passionate about advancing the frontiers of science and medicine, and I am always eager to learn new skills and techniques.
