About Spence Halperin
During my 25 years as a NYS Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) I have focused my practice on developing and managing programs serving people living with HIV, substance users, people who are mentally ill, homeless individuals and families, low-income older adults, Holocaust survivors, and LGBTQ+ individuals. Concurrently, I have raised substantial government and foundation grant funds for 90+ non-profit groups across a broad range of service sectors including healthcare, behavioral health, housing, education, career development, business assistance, environmental justice, and more. In recent years, I have been invited to review Federal Grants for HRSA, SAMHSA, and ACL.
