After 30 years of public school teaching, I left to open my private educational therapy practice to provide tutoring, advocating and consulting for students and parents of children with special needs. We also provide Educational Therapy. We assist with the home school community by teaching, assessing and end of year evaluations. We not only work with students identified as having special needs, we also work with students struggling to learn. We can provide assessment to find out why and then come up with a tailored approach for remediating those concerns. We can even assist adults wishing to improve their reading skills. We can provide informal assessment of skills and progress monitoring along the way. We also work with many homeschooled students providing tutoring and evaluation. We can provide advocacy and consultation regarding IEP meetings and parent understanding of the IEP process.
