Dr. Mykel Green’s REEL (Regenerative Engineering and Equity Lab)- Assisted in researching sickle cells and developing a hydrogel which can coat healthy stem cells during transplantation to the bone marrow- Designed and fabricated a microdevice made from PDMS to mimic bone marrow microchannels to simulate healthy stem cell transplantation- Utilized COMSOL to simulate two-liquid phase microdroplet flow in the microdevice- Proficient experience in plasma bonding, cull culturing, and other various lab techniques.

Hello! My name is Sanika (she/her/hers) and I am a third-year student at Tulane University of Louisiana. I am pursuing a degree in biomedical engineering with a minor in electrical engineering. I have a strong interest in contributing to innovative healthcare solutions through hands-on experience in laboratory instrumentation and quality control. Previously, I have interned at Sanofi, and am returning for Summer 2026. In the future, I hope to work in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. I am pursuing research opportunities and programs following my graduation in Spring 2027 in the biochemical and biomedical engineering fields based in the Northeast region.
