Hi, I’m Spandan Dutta, and my passion for GIS is rooted in a lifelong fascination with space and satellites. As a child, I was captivated by the way satellites map the world from above, sparking a curiosity that stayed with me. When I was introduced to Geographic Information Systems (GIS), everything clicked. It felt like I had found the perfect way to combine my love for space with a deep understanding of data and maps.That moment changed everything for me. I quickly immersed myself in GIS, mastering tools like Quantum GIS (QGIS) and ArcGIS, and my dedication paid off when I was nationally recognized as the best participant in a GIS competition across India. That recognition marked the beginning of an exciting journey, where I’ve since used GIS to solve real-world problems—from urban planning to environmental management.Today, I’m driven by the same curiosity and passion that started it all. I’m eager to collaborate on projects that push the boundaries of what GIS can do, turning complex data into actionable insights.
