Hi, I’m Spandan Dutta, and my passion for GIS is rooted in a lifelong fascination with space and satellites. As a child, I was captivated by the way satellites map the world from above, sparking a curiosity that stayed with me. When I was introduced to Geographic Information Systems (GIS), everything clicked. It felt like I had found the perfect way to combine my love for space with a deep understanding of data and maps.That moment changed everything for me. I quickly immersed myself in GIS, mastering tools like Quantum GIS (QGIS) and ArcGIS, and my dedication paid off when I was nationally recognized as the best participant in a GIS competition across India. That recognition marked the beginning of an exciting journey, where I’ve since used GIS to solve real-world problems—from urban planning to environmental management.Today, I’m driven by the same curiosity and passion that started it all.
