   Responsibility for entire Purchase function which involves right from receiving purchase requests, getting quotations, Negotiations, PO finalization, delivery follow up & payment to vendors to ensure that material is delivered at right time. Procurement of RM, general engineering items, packing material, capital equipments, electrical / electronic items, tools and hardware etc. Procurement Planning Considering Production Plan on Monthly Basis, Co-ordination with Store and Production dept. for requirements and placed Orders on considering of Lead Time. Development of appropriate systems and procedures for procurement activities and ensuring that these systems are followed. Negotiation with the vendors to ensure cost effective purchase. Ensure proper documentation is being maintained by direct Concerns for procurement activities i.e. price index, quotations, purchase orders. Alternate vendor development for Raw, Packing & Others materials to reduce dependency on single vendors. Vendor rating system. Review the material tracking sheet and ensure that the material is available as per plans in the production location. Audit compliances and maintenance of documents as per ISO standards. Defining and maintaining the suitable inventory levels for Raw and Packing materials. Track Price & Supply position of key inputs. Monitoring Daily Consumption report of Raw & Packing Materials. To deal with suppliers regarding quality problems/replacement of rejected materials and refund of advances paid if any. Updating and generating weekly / Monthly MIS and provide to the concerns. Successfully maintained all the work on SAP environment. Generate Annual rate contract with Transporter/ Courier and Supplier. Handling LC and BG transaction and related documents. Familiar with sales Tax/Vat. Excise, import duty and other tax issues during the procurement cycle. Overall knowledege about Railway Logistics
