About Sourav Sarkar

I am currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. I received my Bachelors of Engineering (B. E) and Masters of Technology (M. Tech) Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University and IIT Madras respectively. I also completed my PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University.My current research interests include reacting flows, multiphase flows (Like droplets, sprays, bubbles etc.) and thermal management of batteries. I am extremely enthusiastic about solving problems in the Mechanical Engineering domain using Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning. Additionally, I am involved in various activities related to energy management, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning of buildings and industries.I have had the privilege to attend and present at several international conferences including ILASS Asia, Thermacomp, ASPACC etc. I have authored several articles in peer reviewed International Journals and published a few book chapters in edited book volumes published by International Publishers. I feel incredibly grateful and honored to have received the Teachers Associateship for Research Excellence from SERB, Govt. of India in 2021.
