The Senior Accountant works closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations.Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting:Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting principles and regulatory standards.Review financial reports for accuracy, ensuring proper accounting treatments are followed.Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to guide management’s decision-making.General Ledger Maintenance:Manage and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.Supervise and manage journal entries, including accruals, adjustments, and reclassifications.Audit and Compliance:Coordinate and assist with both internal and external audits, ensuring the company’s financials are in line with compliance requirements.Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with applicable laws and standards.Tax Preparation & Compliance:Oversee tax reporting and compliance, ensuring timely submission of tax filings.Work with tax advisors to ensure adherence to local, state, and federal tax regulations.Team Supervision & Development, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.Month-End & Year-End Close:Manage and oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all transactions are processed and financial statements are prepared on time.Ensure proper accounting for all fixed assets, liabilities, and capital expenditures.Financial Analysis & Reporting:Provide analysis of financial trends, variances, and key performance indicators to support management in strategic decision-making.
