I’m deeply drawn to the intersections of mental health, lived experience, and social justice with the lens of trauma informed care. My journey into psychology has been shaped not just by academic learning, but by navigating systems as someone who has lived through them. This has made my work more personal, more grounded, and more urgent.I’m particularly interested in the affect of early adversity, and the psychological impact of systemic marginalisation — especially in South Asian contexts. Whether I’m engaging in research, clinical work, or teaching, I carry a commitment to care that is empathetic, inclusive, and culturally rooted.Mental health, to me, is not just about symptom reduction, it’s about dignity, access, and holding space for stories that often go unheard. I’m motivated by the belief that healing should be political, relational, and deeply human. Through my work, I aim to challenge pathologising narratives and advocate for systems of care that centre compassion, justice, and voice.
