Committed to Peace Neighborhood Center\'s mission, I\'ve had the opportunity to help advance the agency\'s mission and impact, through expanding Peace\'s philanthropic support — helped to secure over $5 million in funding that has helped to build the agency\'s long-term sustainability.Peace\'s 50th Anniversary campaign raised $1.2 million, helped deepen donor engagement, and expanded annual giving support. Over $2.9 million in new grant funding has enabled Peace to invest in programs and new initiatives - including a new HUB Community Resource Center in Ypsilanti Township.A trusted community-based nonprofit with a 53+ year history of successfully helping people change the trajectory of their lives — Peace works to break intergenerational cycles of poverty. Over 90% of the people Peace serves live below the federal poverty line or ALICE threshold; over 95% identify as people of color. Through an integrated range of programs and wrap-around support services, Peace helps youth and families overcome extraordinary challenges and build futures that include self-sufficiency and positive community involvement.
