As a Member of the Legal Aid Society at National Law University Meghalaya, I actively promote legal awareness and support underprivileged communities. My role involves research, outreach, and advocacy to ensure access to justice for all- Legal Awareness: Conducting workshops and awareness drives on legal rights and remedies for marginalized communities- Pro Bono Assistance: Assisting in providing legal advice and support under the guidance of faculty and practicing lawyers- Research & Documentation: Conducting legal research and preparing reports on key social and legal issues- Community Engagement: Collaborating with local organizations and government bodies to extend legal support and increase outreach- Policy Advocacy: Engaging in discussions and campaigns to influence policy changes for better legal access and protection of rights.Being part of the Legal Aid Society is helping me develop a strong understanding of social justice and the practical application of law while reinforcing my commitment to serving the community.
