About Soumya Keefe
I graduated from Colorado College in May 2023 with a Bachelors of Arts. At CC I majored in Environmental Studies and minored Political Science. I am passionate about building a more sustainable future across sectors. Our current systems of food production, land management, and energy creation and distribution are both socially and environmentally harmful. I am interested in working towards more just and sustainable systems through the combined power of community, industry, science, and policy. I am working remotely for Legacy Forest Defense Coalition, a Washington based nonprofit that is dedicated to the conservation of structurally complex older forests across Washington. In this role I am continuing to learn about land use and conservation efforts as well as utilizing my communication and research skills to create email campaigns, social media content, and research summaries.
