ABOUT SOUMYA CHATTERJEE
I am a news media professional with experience in reporting, writing, editing, fact-checking, and curating news since May 2015. In my present role, I am working with Hindustan Times as a special corresponding covering urban policy, urban housing, planning, design and issues with road transport and national highways in Delhi.I worked with Reuters, a global market leader in the news and information space, as a publishing specialist for Eikon Top News (a news and information software suite) between May 2022 and October 2023.Between February and May, I worked with Zredhi Solutions, a brand marketing firm, to restart the content operations for their two magazines and corresponding websites for the first time since the pandemic.In my previous full-time role, I was leading the Bangalore bureau of The News Minute, an influential independent news media outlet focused on southern India. I joined The News Minute in October 2015 as one of the first employees of a fledging news startup and worked across various roles across reporting and desk before leaving the company in February 2022.
