Nexstem is a deeptech company and therefore is highly IP driven. As the Head of Research and Data, I strive to strengthen the company\'s IP. This involves bringing neuroscience expertise from my PhD while keeping an eye on business relevance, something which I learnt as an ex-founder.I bridge the \"industry-academia-gap\", so to speak. More specifically, here\'s what I do:1. Create a highly competent and driven research team.2. Coordinate with the business team and founders and conduct research which will break new ground for the company in the next few years.3. Build algorithms which understand brain activity better than neuroscientists.4. Perform product research and improve the existing infrastructure. Form research collaborations6. As the resident neuroscientist, be the first (annoying) customer and give feedback.
