Planning & Coordination • Prepare and review RMC mix designs as per project specifications and IS/ACI/ASTM standards. • Coordinate with batching plant, site engineers, and contractors for timely delivery of concrete. • Ensure optimum utilization of resources like cement, aggregates, admixtures, and manpower. Quality Control & Testing • Conduct trial mixes and finalize mix proportions. • Monitor batching, mixing, and transportation to maintain consistency. • Perform slump tests, cube tests, and other field/lab tests to ensure quality. • Maintain records of test results and compliance reports. Execution & Supervision • Supervise RMC pouring at site, ensuring correct placement, compaction, and curing. • Monitor temperature, setting time, and workability of concrete during placement. • Ensure adherence to safety protocols during concreting operations. Documentation & Reporting • Maintain daily RMC consumption logs, delivery challans, and site reports. • Track material consumption and reconcile with approved mix designs. • Prepare quality assurance reports and submit to project manager/client. Coordination with Stakeholders • Liaise with consultants and clients for mix approvals. • Provide technical support to site engineers, foremen, and supervisors. • Coordinate with suppliers for raw materials (cement, aggregates, admixtures). Troubleshooting • Investigate and resolve issues like segregation, bleeding, delayed setting, or strength variations. • Suggest corrective actions in case of non-conformance. Sustainability & Cost Control • Optimize mix design for cost-effectiveness without compromising quality. • Ensure waste minimization and efficient use of materials. • Implement environmentally friendly practices in concrete.
