About Soumita Banerjee
I am a Materials Science and Engineering student at Rutgers University with an interest in exploring how materials can shape performance in demanding and high impact environments. I seek to pursue Materials Science and Engineering with a focus on composites, aerospace materials, materials in extreme environments, and the role of materials in advancing sustainable energy systems.I am particularly interested in understanding how processing and structure influence material behavior, and how these insights can be applied to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance in real world applications. My experiences have led me to explore how material selection and design decisions directly affect system level outcomes, from mechanical performance to environmental impact.I am happy and open to learning more and am always willing to teach, lead, and collaborate with others.
