About Soumik Hore

An appropriate quote from the movie, The Man from Earth, goes: “We are teachers; we answer silly questions all the time”. While I am neither a teacher, nor do I answer “silly questions”, I am an HR professional driven to find answers to complex organisational questions. An alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur (class of 2019), I am a part of the ER-IR team of Flipkart where I serve dual roles as the zonal ER Head for South and lead of ER Capability Building and Projects involving Change Management, Org Design, Talent Management, etc. In my role, I\'ve had the privilege of tackling complex organisational challenges, viz, integrating B2C freelancers into the FK Supply Chain, implementation of Associate Value Proposition, conceptualising and piloting CSR initiatives, and readying the organisation for major change management exercises like workforce restructuring, setting up greenfield projects, manpower transition etc. I am also proud to have played a significant role in conceptualisation and execution of FLAIR (IR Certification for HRBPs) and ER Champs (Ops. Supervisors as ER managers).Outside of work, I like to keep myself busy with movies (and critical analyses of them), music, the occasional gaming and, most importantly, my family. Oh, and food! Because if there\'s one thing you can count of a Bengali to be, it\'s a foodie!
