ABOUT SORYAH HOLLASIE MOTTLEY

As a labour relations officer with over six years of experience in various fields, I developed core competencies in conciliation, industrial relations, and policy analysis. I\'m passionate about finding sustainable and equitable solutions to labour market issues, especially in the context of the transition to a green economy. I also have a strong interest in the intersection of law, technology, and social justice. In my most recent role at the Ministry of Labour, I processed trade disputes and extensions of time applications, interviewed and advised walk-in clients, and participated in conciliation meetings between employers and unions. I also authored and presented papers on the impact of a just transition on Trinidad and Tobago\'s labour market, and policy proposals for the Just Transition Initiative, using data and insights from our division. Through this experience, I gained valuable communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, and a certification in the SIDS Talks for a Sustainable Blue and Green Economy from ITCILO. I have recently completed the LLM LPC at BPP Law School.
