I am a self-ordained wordsmith and Christ follower from North Carolina Central University, having earned a Juris Doctor and a Master of Business Administration. As a detail-oriented law school intern, I discovered a European Union regulation that my French supervising attorney stated was “très intelligent,” as it had the potential to cause lawsuit dismissal, after having searched the entire index of a legal encyclopedia. Beyond research, I aided in contract drafting, having proposed a clause deemed necessary for inclusion.Challenging endeavors motivate me, hence my travel to Montpellier, France to teach over 280 students English. I employ structure, organization, and consistency; though, I thrive in work that requires boldness and “thinking on my feet.” I learn quickly and intuitively, for instance gaining French and Spanish fluency in months and passing the New York bar, despite working 20 hours a week during bar preparation.As a Claims Review Specialist at a law firm, I achieved recognition from two supervisors for my claims call intake being higher than twice the average, including Spanish settlement calls.I engaged in 4 internships in law school, with two being in European countries, wherein I further sophisticated my French and Spanish fluency.Being a fighter (hence, a lawyer) and a Spelman College recipient of a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Women’s Studies, I am invigorated by any combination of women and martial arts, i.e. Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies.I was chosen for the 2016 law school Dean’s List, in part due to receiving a high average in a legal writing course focused on client communications.
