About Sophie Wright
I am a senior at Penn State University pursuing my bachelor\'s degree in mechanical engineering with a certificate in engineering and community engagement. I\'m passionate about problem solving, creative solutions, and cross-collaborative environments. Through the Humanitarian Engineering and Social Entrepreneurship, I have developed skills in engineering design and co-development, working closely with key stakeholders to assess and implement technology-based solutions. Outside of the classroom, I\'m an active member of the Women in Engineering Program (WEP), Society of Women Engineers, and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Design Team. Additionally, I serve as the Leader of Penn State THON’s Rules & Regulations Committee, where I help coordinate and support one of the largest student-run philanthropy efforts in the world.
