ABOUT SOPHIE GOODMAN

Hi, my name is Sophie Goodman and I am a fourth year at The Ohio State University. I am studying Accounting in the Max M. Fisher College of Business. I am also pursuing a certificate of leadership in the Dean\'s Leadership Academy. I am a recipient of the Morrill Scholars Prominence Scholarship and in the Accounting Honors Program.At Ohio State, I\'m involved in many organizations. My main involvement is Women Founders OSU, a non-for-profit organization that promotes women in the entrepreneurship and innovation space. I am excited to develop the organization for the 23-24 academic year in the Vice President position. I have also joined Tamid, a professional business organization centered around highlighting Israeli companies through real-life consulting opportunities and stock valuation pitches. Finally, This past year I acted as President of Ohio State\'s Beta Alpha Psi professional business fraternity for accounting, finance and information systems. This role allowed me to integrate my personal interest in accounting with the connections made in the Accounting Honors Program. During the summer 2023, I worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the New York office as an Audit Intern in the Banking and Capital Markets sector. This experience allowed me to gain an understanding of the audit process and financial reporting procedures. I am excited to continue my professional development at PwC as I enter a full time position in the NYC office come fall 2024! During the summer of 2022, I worked at Cohen & Company In the New York office as a Tax Intern in the Regulated Investment Company Pod. In this role I grew my understanding of financial services and innovative structures in capital markets. Outside of school I enjoy traveling, running and reading. I also enjoy spending time with friends made through Alpha Gamma Delta social sorority at Ohio State. I hope to gain more experience in the accounting field and entrepreneurship in the future.
